Part 1: The Sacred Transition: "What If Death Is Not an End?"

Intuitive Reflections Series: Uncomfortable Conversations in 2025

"An Invitation to Explore Life Through Death"

Death has always been one of the most universally uncomfortable topics, yet it feels as natural as the act of living itself. It isn’t the event of death that stirs the deepest fears, but what it reflects: the unknown, and perhaps even more, the truths about ourselves that we often avoid facing. As the great African shaman Malidoma Somé once said, “What we fear most is not death itself, but the depths within ourselves.”

What if death is not an end but rather a profound transition—a sacred passage into something infinite, perhaps a frequency of purity and love? Whether we leave this life at 2 years old or at 90, could it be part of a choice made by our soul, an agreement formed before stepping into the human experience? These questions, though unanswerable in absolute terms, have stirred a quiet curiosity in me: Is death something to fear, or is it something to honor as part of a journey that continues beyond what we can see?

Losing my mother at the age of 2 left an imprint on me that I didn’t fully understand until much later. Her absence raised quiet, lingering questions about what it means to lose someone so dear. Later, at 20, the loss of a close friend brought those questions into sharper focus. Was their time here truly “cut short,” or was there something else at play—something beyond what my human mind could grasp?

As I’ve explored these questions through spirit and plant medicine, I’ve found myself wondering: Could death be a sacred transition rather than an ending? Is it possible that we choose our entry and exit points, even if they seem incomprehensible from a human perspective? These reflections have not provided definitive answers, but they’ve deepened my sense of curiosity about what lies beyond the physical world.
